Sugar Free Music –
Seriously? Sugar free music? Well no not really, but these clips are a little light hearted fun to poke back at the advertisers.
If soda companies and food manufacturers can make junk food seem fun, nostalgic, inclusive, hip, cool, funky these 2 clips have done the same, but instead, they highlight sugars darker side.
Advertisers make junk food appealing, want you to feel like you’re part of their ‘family’ and include celebrity endorsements – but what is the cost of cool? Obesity, tooth decay, T2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, non alcoholic fatty liver disease, ……..
Hey Mr Sugar, pimp my food 😉

It’s time to change the tune on soda – a remake of the classic coca cola Hilltop advertisement.
“For the past 45 years, Coca-Cola and other makers of sugar drinks have used the most sophisticated and manipulative advertising techniques to convince children and adults alike that a disease-promoting drink will make them feel warm and fuzzy inside,” said CSPI executive director Michael F. Jacobson. “It’s a multi-billion-dollar brainwashing campaign designed to distract us away from our diabetes with happy thoughts.
We thought it was time to change the tune.”

CSPI has long sought to educate the public, advocate government policies that are consistent with scientific evidence on health and environmental issues, and counter industry’s powerful influence on public opinion and public policies.
