1: How to make chaffles
First, let me explain what chaffles are.
Chaffles = cheesy waffles.
They are the easiest low-carb and keto recipe that will become an absolute weekly staple in your house.
2: What Is The Basic Chaffle Recipe?

Chaffles are simply 1 egg + 1/2 cup grated/shredded mozzarella.
Theses cheesy waffles are easy to make, light and fluffy, and you can make them crispy if you prefer (my top tips are at the end of this post).
When you follow all the recipes in my FREE cookbook, you will see how easy they are to make the waffles sweet or savoury just with a couple of simple additions.

4: How Do You Eat Chaffles?
Chaffles are sugar-free, gluten-free, grain-free, keto and incredibly easy to make for the entire family. They can be sweet or savoury and can be eaten alone or served with a variety of toppings.
Chaffles are a brilliant keto and low0carb bread substitute for sandwiches, as a pizza base and for a quick and easy dessert topped with whipped cream and berries.
All the topping ideas are in your FREE cookbook.
Serving ideas:
- Breakfast chaffles - serve with bacon, eggs avocado

5: Can You Freeze Chaffles?
These gluten-free cheesy waffles are PERFECT for freezing.
Simply make a double, triple or even quadruple batch, allow them to cool, then place in an airtight container with a piece of baking parchment in between each waffle, and freeze for up to 3 months.
They will defrost quickly once removed from the freezer, ort you can pop them in your toaster or waffle maker to reheat.

6: How Long Do Chaffles Stay Fresh?
The beauty of chaffles is that they can be made in only a few minutes so you can enjoy them freshly cooked each time.
However, if you wish to make a few chaffles at a time, they will stay fresh in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

7: Do Chaffles Taste Cheesy Or Eggy?
No ... but only if you follow some simple guidelines.
- Ensure your mozzarella is a mild (almost neutral) flavoured variety
- You may substitute any mild cheese you prefer in place of pre-shredded mozzarella
- For sweet chaffles, always ensure you add enough sweetener, which may be more than I have recommended
- Sweet chaffles require additional vanilla or cocoa powder if you are sensitive to a mild cheese flavour
- TOP TIP: Always check your pre-shredded mozzarella for additives such as potato or rice starch which is often added to prevent the shredded cheese from clumping. Find a good brand without these additional unnecessary carbs.
8: Tips For Crispy Chaffles
- The longer you cook chaffles, the crispier they become
- Always mix well the egg and cheese before pouring into your waffle maker
- Make sure you spread the chaffle mixture out evenly into your waffle maker
- If you don’t have a waffle maker, you can use a frying pan

9: Tips For Savoury Chaffles
Chaffles by virtue are savoury due to their cheese and eggs. But they ere even BETTER if you add herbs such as rosemary, chilli or onion powder.
Try each of the savoury recipes in the FREE cookbook, but why not let us know your favourite savoury combination. Leave a comment below.

10: Tips For Sweet Chaffles
As mentioned above, first and foremost ensure you use a mild/neutral cheese.
Also, ensure you add enough sweetener to cater for YOUR sweet tooth. The longer you live low-carb and sugar0free, the less sweetener you may require. You may begin with twice the sweetener I suggest, and as time goes on, you may require only half the recommended amount.
